The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) is one of the largest Christian denominations in the United States, with about 4 million members in nearly 10,000 congregations across the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

We are what God has made us – people whom God has created by grace to live in union with Jesus Christ and has prepared to live faithful, fruitful lives by the power of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:8-10). In Jesus Christ, God has reconciled us to God and to each other. As we gather around word and sacraments, this life in Christ is what defines, shapes and guides us as a community of faith, the church.

Services

Worship is filled with uplifting music, an inspiring message, children's message, Scripture and more.

Our 9 a.m. service is a blend of traditional and contemporary music and liturgies. We strive to create a balance of the “well-known” and our modern world.

Communion

We serve the sacrament of Holy Communion on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month.

We are always looking to add helpers to our Communion team. If you are interested in learning more about serving this sacrament, please let Rod Wiese know.

All are welcome at our table! If you have children who do not yet take communion, they are invited to come forward with you for a blessing.

Strategies: Worship, Learn, Serve, Give, and Pray

Trust Fund

Honoring or remembering a loved one is a wonderful way to share a gift of love. The Trust Fund of Our Savior’s exists to provide a meaningful way to share a gift —to celebrate the life of someone you wish to honor during their lifetime, or as a memorial in remembrance of a loved one. The fund may also be included in a Will, allowing the ministry of Our Savior’s to continue far beyond a single lifetime.

Gifts may be designated into a number of funds:

  • The Memorial Funds

  • The Perpetual Fund

  • Gilbertson Organ Scholarship

  • Hewlett-Himle Trust

    (a music fund)

Gifts to the Memorial Funds may be designated toward a specific project or offered for general use. A list of current projects is available in the church office.

Both the Perpetual Fund, Gilbertson Organ Scholarship, and the Hewlett-Himle Trust (a music fund) are long-term funds from which only the interest and earnings are spent. They are unique vehicles that allow your gift to keep on giving.

Values

Rather than looking for uniformity of belief we emphasize “come as you are.” However, expect to grow and change as you become equipped with an active and confident faith in Jesus Christ. No matter where you are on your faith journey we invite, encourage, and equip you to wear the clothing of Christ. Changing the world and having a lasting impact means getting your hands dirty and having open, honest relationships within these walls and beyond.

Get involved…

God created us to serve one another. When asked what are the two greatest commandments, Jesus replied, 'Love the Lord your God and Love your neighbor as yourself.' Matthew 22: 37-39. At Our Savior’s we are committed to encourage and equip people to do God's work with our hands.
