Communion    is    one    of    two    sacraments observed   in   Lutheran   tradition,   and   you’ll find   that   our   communion   is   open   for   all, because   these   are   “the   gifts   of   God   for the   people   of   God,   and   all   are   welcome.” With   that   being   said,   we   offer   formalized instruction   for   all   5th   graders   and   their families     during     the     season     of     Lent, celebrating    First    Communion    for    these students     on     Maundy     Thursday     during worship.   If   you   feel   your   child   might   be ready    to    commune    prior    to    formalized instruction,    contact    a    pastor    for    next steps.      Information      is      available      by connecting    with    any    of    the    pastors, Marcia   Pedersen    or   by   calling   the   church at 437-4516.
